What are they selling?

What are they selling? They are selling a portable flash. Who are they selling it to? They are selling it to location portrait photographers so they can have studio lighting outside. How are they selling it? They are demonstrating in three pictures how it works and the results of the lighting. How does the advert work in semiotic terms? The signifier would be the slogan ‘Keep moving’ and the picture of the photographer moving around a location. The signified is the studio flash that is able to travel to produce light outside. What gestures are used and how does this contribute to meaning? The fact that a male photographer is hanging out of a tree to photograph a beautiful model in a sunny beautiful location. I think this advert is selling for creative outlets

What are they selling? They are selling a chance to earn a degree through the Open University with the RPS. Who are they selling to? Young adults manly women. How are they selling it? Showing a woman in a job that she lives, this puts the female photographer into that position in their mind. How does the advert work in semiotic terms? Signifier is a young woman holding a camera while there is a slogan creating and sharing better images. The signified is a woman learning different techniques to make it as a photographer. I think that this advert would fit into emotional security and a reassurance of worth and ego gratification.

What are they selling? A landscape photography course. Who are they selling it to? To any photographer who is interested in improving their landscape photography techniques. How are they selling it? By showing beautiful and stunning landscape photography. How does the advert work in semiotic terms? Signifier is a simple but effective design with a peaceful landscape. The signified is a peaceful landscape with the name of the photographer and a little of what he is selling, the landscape makes you look at it more as its peaceful and simple but effective. I think that this fits in with creative outlets and possible love objects.

What are they selling? They are selling the fact that they will be at the photography show this year. Who are they selling it to? Anyone who is visiting the photography show. How are they selling it? By showing the photography show logo and showing the lights and results with their lights. How does the advert work in Semiotic terms? Signifier is the show logo and the pictures of the lights. The signified is showing some of the lights that may be out on for sale at the photography show and what number stand they are. I think that this would fit into Creative outlets and maybe a love objects.

What are they selling? an audio book with big finish. Who are they selling it to? Doctor who fans. How are they selling it? Making the poster simple but effective with the date that it will be released. How does the advert work in semiotic terms? Signifier is a famous doctor who foe and the title of the book. I think that this fits in with Love objects and possible emotional security

What are they selling? The next issue of the Doctor who magazine. Who are they selling it to? Doctor who fans How are they selling it? By showing the most exciting thing to happen in the Doctor who Fandom, the 50th Anniversary. How does the advert work in semiotic terms? Signifier is two main characters and the tittle of the episode. Signified is two Doctors and the War Doctor with a special souvenir edition of what will be happening during the 50th Anniversary. I think that this fits into love objects and possibly emotional security.
